There is an old PC computer in my home, more than 3 years never used it. Last day, I decided reuse it and install Ubuntu on it.
The PC has a hard-disk and installed windows on it. I won’t remove this disk because there are some important data on it. So, I found out another SSD disk, but there only one data-line in my hand.
So, I unmount the Big-Disk, and mount SSD on the PC computer.
Then, use my Mac to download the Ubuntu ISO file, and convert ISO to IMG file in my Mac. Use dd command to write the IMG file into an USB storage. Before write into USB storage, I backup USB first. then write IMG into it.
After that, plugin USB to PC, and mount SSD to PC. Startup system in USB. But, I still can’t install Ubuntu, because there also have important data in my SSD disk too. There are lots of my photos in the SSD disk.
So, I startup Ubuntu in the live mode and use tar to zipping SSD-disk and upload it to my remote server.(Now, it is uploading).
Later, when the uploading finish, I will install Ubuntu in my PC computer. wow, it really a hard work.
